Creating a campaign: the message step
Name the campaign, pick the number and template, and fill in the blanks.

Press New campaign on the Campaigns page. A draft opens in three steps: Message, Audience and Review and send. You can leave at any time: the draft stays in your list, and Save draft saves what you have.
On the first step:
- Campaign name: only your team sees it.
- Send from: your WhatsApp number. If you have more than one, choose here; changing it clears the template, because templates belong to one number's WhatsApp account.
- Message template: pick one of your approved templates. Write a new template opens the builder.
- Fill in the blanks, when the template has any. For each blank, choose Contact's first name or Contact's full name, with a fallback under If there's no name, use (for example "there"), or Same text for everyone.
The preview shows the message for a contact with no name, so you see your fallbacks at work. Use Preview as to see one contact's version. Then press Continue to audience.
