Following a campaign: progress, pausing and stopping
Watch a campaign go out, and pause, resume or stop it.
Updated
Open the campaign from the list. While it's sending, the page refreshes every 15 seconds and shows progress such as "340 of 1,200 done · about 3 minutes left".
| Status | Buttons |
|---|---|
| Sending | Pause, Stop the rest |
| Paused | Resume, Stop the rest |
| Scheduled | Unschedule and edit, Cancel campaign |
- Pause stops new messages within a minute, and Resume carries on where it stopped.
- Stop the rest ends the campaign; the people still waiting don't get it. It can't be undone.
- Unschedule and edit turns a scheduled campaign back into a draft.
- Cancel campaign ends a scheduled campaign before anyone gets it.
Waiting for daily limit isn't a problem: WhatsApp allows each number a certain number of new people per 24 hours, and the campaign carries on by itself at the time shown.
If a campaign pauses by itself, the reason shows under its title and on your Overview (see Why a campaign paused by itself).
