How your catalog fits your business type

The names, fields and statuses your catalog uses for each of the 12 business types.

Your business type (Settings → Profile) names your catalog and decides its fields:

Statuses also follow your business type. A new item gets the first one:

Business typeStatuses
Online store, OtherActive, Draft, Archived
RestaurantOn the menu, Off today, Draft
Salon, clinic, professional services, home services, fitnessActive, Draft
Real estateAvailable, Reserved, Sold, Rented, Off market
EducationEnrolling, Full, Closed, Draft
HotelBookable, Draft
Events and rentalsOn sale, Sold out, Draft, Past

Each status tells your agent what to do, and the dropdown says it beside each one:

  • Offered normally: Active, On the menu, Available, Enrolling, Bookable, On sale.
  • "Your agent will say it's unavailable right now": Off today, Reserved, Sold, Rented, Full, Closed, Sold out. Your agent still recognises the item and says it can't be had today.
  • "Your agent won't mention it at all": Draft, Archived, Off market, Past. Archived, Off market and Past are also hidden from your own list until you filter for them.

Real estate listings have no versions: a listing is one thing.

Changing your business type relabels the catalog; nothing you added is deleted, and fields the new type doesn't use come back if you switch back.
