Teaching your agent from a website or a PDF
Add up to 5 web pages and text PDFs for your agent to learn from, then save.
Updated
Knowledge sources on the Agent tab is where you point your agent at material to learn from: company information, FAQs, policies, service and delivery details. Product lists, catalogues, menus and price lists don't belong here: add them to your catalog instead.
Adding a website. Type the page's address, including https://, for example https://yourbusiness.com, and click Add website. Your agent reads that page when it updates; it doesn't crawl your whole website, so add the pages that hold the information.
Adding a PDF. Use the file picker under the website box. Only PDFs with selectable text are accepted, up to 20 MB each. Scanned or image-only PDFs are rejected (see Why a scanned PDF is rejected). Spreadsheets can't be knowledge sources: add the information as a PDF, or add products and prices to your catalog.
Then press Save changes. Adding or removing a source saves it straight away, but your agent only updates once you click Save changes at the bottom of the page. So add everything first, then save once.
Everything you've added is listed under the upload controls, as a website or a PDF, each with Remove. Removing a source also needs a Save changes for your agent to forget it.
Limits: up to 5 sources in total, websites and PDFs together, and 30 MB across all PDFs. A web address can be up to 2,048 characters.
