Disconnecting a channel: what happens
Replies from Syniria stop there at once; your conversations and settings stay.
Updated
On the Channels page, press Manage on the connection, then Disconnect (for WhatsApp, Disconnect from Syniria). Syniria asks you to confirm: "Replies from Syniria stop on this channel until you reconnect."
When you confirm:
- replies from Syniria, your agent's and your team's, stop on that channel straight away;
- Syniria's saved access to the account is removed, and the account is released at once: you, or another Syniria account, can connect it again;
- its plan slot is freed;
- the connection stays in your list, marked disconnected.
What's kept: every conversation in your Inbox, your agent's settings, and your catalog. Reconnecting the same account to the same business picks up the same conversations.
What isn't affected: nothing changes on Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp. Messages customers send while you're disconnected don't reach your Syniria Inbox and aren't answered later; they stay in Meta's own inbox.
For WhatsApp, the number stays registered with Meta: disconnecting doesn't remove it from Meta's Cloud API or return it to the phone app. If you used the Business app setup, you can also remove the platform connection in the WhatsApp Business app (Settings → Account → Business Platform). A number registered only with the API needs a separate Meta process to go back to the phone app; ask support or your provider first.
