Creating an order yourself

Record an order a customer placed by phone, in person, or in a chat your agent didn't handle.

Updated

Orders start from the customer's contact:

  1. Open Contacts, open the customer, and press Create order.
  2. Who it's for: This contact, or Someone else with their name and, if you like, a phone or email for this order only.
  3. Currency: every line in an order uses one currency. It starts as your business's default currency (Settings → Agent); adding a catalog item sets it to that item's currency.
  4. Source conversation (optional): link the chat the order came from, if there is one.
  5. Items: search your catalog and press Add variant, or press Add custom line for something that isn't in your catalog, with a description and a unit price. Set each line's Quantity.
  6. Press Review order, answer the order questions that apply to these items (required answers can be added later), and press Create order.

The order opens as Draft and Unpaid. A required question you left empty marks it Missing answers; fill it in later with Edit answers.

An order holds 1 to 100 lines, each with a quantity from 1 to 10,000.
