Lead statuses, and changing one

The four statuses, who sets each one, and what they mean to your agent.

Updated

Every lead has one of four statuses:

StatusMeaning
newSaved by your agent. Nobody has followed it up yet
contactedSet by your team after reaching out to the person
completedSet by your team when the order was fulfilled or the booking happened
lostSet by your team when the lead went nowhere

The list is the same for every business; custom statuses aren't available. Your agent saves every lead as new and never changes a status afterwards.

To change a status, use the dropdown on the lead's card or its page. It saves straight away, with no Save button. Statuses change one lead at a time.

What a status means to your agent: while a lead is new or contacted, your agent adds what it saves in that chat to it. completed and lost close the lead, and your agent's next save in that chat starts a new one (see One lead per chat).

No status means the person ordered. An order that counts for the lead shows Order placed · Order #… on it, whatever its status.

An older lead can hold a status that's no longer offered; its dropdown shows it with "(retired)". Change it to one of the four to find it with the status filter.
