Worth knowing before you choose

The rules both work within, and what switching takes.

One number, one AI agent

When Meta Business Agent is switched on for a WhatsApp number, it becomes the first responder for new conversations, and apps already connected to the number, Syniria included, move to standby and stop answering them. Meta’s new conversation routing can split chats between agents, but Syniria doesn’t support it yet, so choose one per number for now.

Meta’s WhatsApp reply fees

Since October 1, 2026, each WhatsApp Business Platform number gets 1,000 free replies a month, then Meta charges for each reply at its rate for the customer’s country. Keep a payment method on the WhatsApp account so replies keep being delivered past the free 1,000. Meta’s own agent is billed its own way: by tokens, with no free messages. Instagram and Messenger have no Meta message fees.

Per reply, the price is close

An AI reply uses 4.9¢ of Starter or 3.7¢ of Growth, plus Meta’s reply fee on WhatsApp after the first 1,000 a month. Meta’s agent costs about 4–5¢ a message on an API number, delivery included. The difference is not the price per reply; it is what comes with it.

No monthly campaign limit

Syniria sets no monthly limit on campaign messages on any paid plan, and the free trial includes 50. One campaign reaches up to 10,000 people, and Meta’s daily sending limits for your number apply whichever platform sends it.

Moving to Syniria

Switch Meta Business Agent off for the number, then connect the number in Syniria. If you use the WhatsApp Business app, you keep it on the same number. Start a free trial to try it first.

What does Syniria do that Meta Business Agent doesn’t?

Syniria answers your customers, then does the work that follows in one workspace: a built-in booking engine with services, staff and a booking page, orders from your live catalog, contacts with stages and follow-ups, WhatsApp campaigns and a team inbox with roles. It works on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and your website, for businesses worldwide, with no waitlist.

Is Meta Business Agent free?

It’s free to start in the WhatsApp Business app, and Meta One plans, from $14.99 a month per number, Page or profile, give it more use. On a WhatsApp Business Platform (API) number, Meta charges $2 per million tokens, about 4–5¢ a message. So far it’s offered in limited countries to select businesses, with a waitlist.

Can Meta Business Agent and Syniria answer on the same WhatsApp number?

Not at the same time today. Switching Meta’s agent on makes it the first responder for new conversations and moves apps already connected to the number, Syniria included, to standby. Meta’s conversation routing can split chats between agents, but Syniria doesn’t support it yet, so choose one per number.

Is Syniria cheaper per reply than Meta Business Agent?

Not necessarily. An AI reply uses 4.9¢ of Starter or 3.7¢ of Growth, and on WhatsApp Meta’s reply fee applies after the first 1,000 replies a month; Meta’s agent costs about 4–5¢ a message on an API number, delivery included. What differs is what comes with the reply: a shared inbox, bookings, a catalog, orders, contacts and WhatsApp campaigns.

Can customers reach my agent from my website?

Yes. Add Syniria’s chat widget to your website and visitors chat with the same agent; your team can take over from the inbox.

Can I keep using the WhatsApp Business app with Syniria?

Yes. Syniria supports Meta’s coexistence: choose it when you connect, and the same number works in the WhatsApp Business app and in Syniria; Meta checks the number during setup. A reply you send from the app pauses Syniria’s agent in that chat, so customers never get two answers.

Does Syniria book into Google Calendar?

Not yet. Syniria’s booking engine is built in, with services, staff, schedules and a booking page customers use themselves, included from Growth and in the free trial, and your team manages appointments in the dashboard.
